One song, three approaches. Each warnings about nostalgia in the face of time's endless crawl.

'Relic (Reborn)' maps the futility of resistance to nostalgia triggers in the beat of passing time. Musically its feeds on the emotional embrace of the epic. Synth set to huge and otherworldly. The sound of gods on parade.

'Relic (Remembered)' finds time's inevitable advance immersed in echoes of memories past but with the warning about the lies of nostalgia. Contorted piano, Ebow, electric and treated acoustic guitar and Phil Smith's fluid fretless bass add to the ambience of frailty, collapse and dreaming.

'Relic (Lines of Flight Reimagining)', what happens when you place your present past in the hands of entirely different people? The result is a brand new journey inspired by different histories. Lines of Flight offer an reinterpretation drawn on their own biographies, their own experiences.

'What if I Did' originally featured in edited form on the 'Generation Blitz - Concrete and Chrome' compilation. Here it is represented in its full nervous funk form while the ghost elektron remix takes that nervousness into the dark and murky waters of deep ambience

'Breathing Not Breathing' was written on the first night of pandemic lockdown in the UK. You can feel the fear in every sinew. This is a brand new mix and master of the track that brought the CD of our Charged Attachment album to a close. Originally only on the CD, this remix/remaster offers an all new suffocatingly claustrophobic intensity.

'Relic (Returned)' is a stripped back instrumental that ghosts the original version of the composition while the Solar Wolf dub brings an earthy, loose-limbed, echo drop smokiness that takes the Deathstar into new subterranean territories.

The 'Relic e.p.' is the final release from Nostalgia Deathstar... we don't know what we'll do next, but we're sure it'll have shattered disco balls
